Stanground Academy

End of Half Term Information

“The health, safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff is our absolute priority. As an Academy, we take our duty of care extremely seriously and every decision is made with the best interests of our entire school community in mind.

“After being informed by Public Health England of confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the Academy, some pupils and staff are currently self-isolating as a precautionary measure, in line with the latest government advice. Throughout this period, we have been staying in regular contact with parents and carers and have been supporting our pupils through remote learning to ensure they continue to receive the best possible education during this unprecedented time.

“Following the half term break we will continue to follow the latest government guidelines and work closely with the local public health authority, ensuring our robust health and safety measures support the wellbeing of our pupils, staff and the wider school community. These measures include, but are not limited to, the year group bubbles we have had in place since the start of the academic year in line with government guidance, staggered start and finish times and the introduction of face masks in communal areas where social distancing cannot be easily maintained, such as during class transition periods.

“We appreciate this may be a challenging time for our school community and will continue to be in regular contact with our pupils, parents and staff to provide reassurance and up-to-date information. We also encourage anyone with concerns to contact the Academy directly so that we can provide the necessary support.”
